BEFORE YOU BEGIN

A few useful answers.

Can I use it without a subscription?

Yes. Starter includes 25 issued certificates in total, two templates, three courses and 10 certificate notification emails. Sample previews do not use the allowance. You can download and manage the records you have already issued.

Are these accredited or independently certified qualifications?

No. You are the issuer and are responsible for the training, completion decision and wording. CohortMark records what you issue and lets someone check that record. Email verification confirms account-email control, not accreditation or the issuer’s identity.

What happens when I cancel Studio?

You keep Studio until the end of the paid period, then return to Starter. Existing certificates and their verification links remain accessible under our retention policy. Download your records and PDFs as a backup. We do not promise indefinite hosting.

What file should my roster use?

Enter people directly on the site, or upload TXT, TSV, CSV, Word DOC/DOCX or Excel XLS/XLSX. Imports support 256 KB and up to 100 people. Select the worksheet and map columns, then check the editable form. Full name is required; email and reference are optional unless recipient acknowledgement requires email. Detailed formatting instructions are available in the editor and Help.

Does email delivery happen instantly?

Messages enter a durable sending queue. The dashboard distinguishes queued, provider-accepted, failed and suppressed messages. Provider acceptance is not proof of inbox delivery. Shared provider limits or temporary failures can delay sending. You can always download the ZIP and share individual links yourself.

Can I fix a misspelled name?

Yes. A correction creates a new record and marks the original as corrected, with a link to the replacement. It does not use another certificate credit. You can also revoke a current record with an explanation.
